The Asian districts of Istanbul

The Asian districts of Istanbul, like all parts of this metropolis, have their own unique character, rich history and fascinating attractions. Of the 13 regions of Asia, 5 do not border the sea, but are located inside. In fact, all of them, except one, are quiet residential areas: Çekmeköy, Ümraniye, Sancaktepe and Sultanbeyli. One that stands out from the list is that Ataşehir County is more of an active business center, although there are also many residential properties where the wealthy live.
The remaining 8 regions are in contact with the Black Sea, Marmara Sea and the Bosphorus Strait. The most attractive are the central areas located along the Bosphorus. And this is, first of all, Usküdar, from which the fastest way to reach the cultural and historical center of the European side is by public water transport, as well as thanks to the large bridge across the strait. The second district is Kadikoy, more details about it can be found in the corresponding publication on our website. And the largest, stretching all the way to the Black Sea, is the Beykoz district.
The districts of Tuzla and Sile are considered distant suburbs of Istanbul; Sile is often visited to relax in nature and on the beautiful beaches of the Black Sea. The areas of Maltepe, Kartal and Pendik represent a combination of modern urbanism and natural beauty and are essentially bedrooms, but with plenty of activity. Thus, Sabiha Gokcen Airport and a high-speed train station are located in Pendik. And in Maltepe there are many skyscrapers, shopping centers and the famous street of shopaholics Baghdad. The Kartal region, which means Eagle, lives up to its name, as it is located on hilly terrain and offers beautiful panoramic views from many points. Therefore, here you can often find apartments with a pleasant view, including views of the sea and the Princes’ Islands, and green spaces, of which there are plenty in the area, for example, there is a long Aidos forest.
Real estate and accommodation on the Asian side of Istanbul is much cheaper than on the European side, so areas are increasingly being developed, gentrified and populated. This is a reason to consider one of them for purchasing real estate if you decide to settle in Istanbul.
