Üsküdar

An area of the Asian side of Istanbul with a very convenient location, surrounded by Kadikoy, Umraniye and Beykoz districts. Located on the banks of the Bosphorus, from here you can quickly get to the cultural and historical center of the European side, both by public water transport and thanks to the large bridge over the Bosphorus. Usküdar is located on the site of the ancient city of Chrysopolis, which lived by collecting duties from ships passing through the Bosphorus; this area has always been an important transport link between the Asian part and the European one.

By the standards of Istanbul, the area is calm and quiet, despite its large population - almost 500 thousand people. There are nice parks and neighborhoods with lots of trees and flowers. Usküdar is one of the favorite tourist destinations in the Asian part, which at the same time is wonderful for comfortable permanent residence with all the amenities of the metropolis center. There is no nightlife here, no bars or clubs. But the area offers a visually beautiful, safe and welcoming environment for family life. Usküdar district has an amazing social and transport infrastructure, everything you need for a full life, plus there is the fastest access from the Asian to the European part of Istanbul and a large cultural and historical base for pleasant and educational leisure.

Usküdar can be said to be the most rich in attractions among the regions of the Asian part. The most popular of them are the Maiden Tower located on a small island in the strait, as a symbol of the area, the Fethi Pasha Nature Reserve, the Beylerbey Palace and the mosque built in honor of Mihrimah Sultan, located in the very center near the Usküdar embankment. Lovers of beautiful panoramas will be interested in Çamlıca Hill, which is the highest point of the Asian part of Istanbul, with beautiful views of the European part. Thanks to this height, a TV tower was built there, which offers even more stunning views of Istanbul in all directions. Also located here is the Çamlıca Mosque, one of the largest in Turkey, built in 2019 and combining the beauty of classic and modern oriental architecture. Other interesting places to visit:
