In our active information age, it is almost unthinkable to remain without communication: work, leisure, shopping, and almost all areas of life are organized and implemented via the Internet. And being abroad adds relevance to the Internet connection. Once in Turkey, before purchasing an Internet connection from local providers, you can take advantage of the free Wi-Fi that can be found in some locations.
First of all, these are public places - airports, shopping centers, hotels. Public food outlets also provide this service - cafes, bars, restaurants; even if you sit down to drink Turkish tea in a street cafe, most likely you will find a Wi-Fi connection, the password (in Turkish “Wi-Fi code”) for which you will be told in response to your polite request.
Libraries and some government offices also offer free Wi-Fi access. And in many cities, municipalities provide free Wi-Fi in specific urban areas: parks, beaches, subways, buses, bus stops, such areas are often equipped with benches and decor in a certain style and a noticeable sign about the availability of Wi-Fi on this island.
However, you should be prepared for the fact that free access points may have restrictions on speed or time of use. Nevertheless, the free traffic is enough to check e-mail, messages in instant messengers or social networks, to control the route using maps and search for information. But to view photos and video content, the traffic speed may not be enough. It is also worth remembering the security of your personal information when using public Internet access points.
