Popular areas of Mersin

By saying "Mersin", our person represents the city, but the administrative division of Turkey is somewhat different from what we are used to. The country is divided into provinces, and each of them into districts, among which there is no city in our understanding. However, informally, some areas are considered the center, which is perceived as a city, and the remaining areas are suburbs.
Mersin Province is divided into 13 districts, 4 of which are Mersin Center, namely  Akdeniz, Mezitli, Toroslar and Yenisehir. Of these, Toroslar, as you can guess from the name, is located closer to the Toros Mountains, and the other three overlook the sea. Mezitli is considered the best, and in particular its Teje microdistrict, which is famous for its luxurious residential complexes and tranquil environment. All the advantages of Mersin converge in Mezitli: clean beaches nearby, and all urban infrastructure nearby. Akdeniz is an area with an industrial heritage, with an oil refinery, glass and cement factories. The port and train station provide excellent transport links in the area, however the air is not the cleanest.

Toroslar, although far from the sea, has its advantages. It surprises with beautiful forests and mountains, making it an ideal choice for nature and history lovers. Yenisehir, with its proximity to the sea and a variety of amenities, offers excellent investment opportunities, including large shopping centers, universities, restaurants and museums.

In terms of suburbs, one of the most notable is Erdemli,  located east of the center of Mersin. The Tomyuk microdistrict is especially popular here, which is rapidly developing and filled with new buildings. It is also worth paying attention to the Arpachbakhshish quarter, which is considered one of the most promising in Mersin. In Erdemli there is the ancient city of Kanlıdivan, and in general, there is something to see in this cozy town. Erdemli is beauty and comfort, the perfect picture of a house by the sea, only the house is a luxurious new building with hotel infrastructure.

If you are a lover of beautiful beaches, then you should pay attention to the areas with the best coastline of Mersin - Kizkalesi, Cesmeli, Narlikuyu, Tomyuk, Erdemli, Arpachbakhshish, Ayash.
Currently, the population of Mersin is actively growing due to internal migration and the influx of foreigners. That is why Mersin has high investment potential. Every year the cost of rent and real estate in the region increases, and the development of tourism attracts additional foreign investment. Therefore, it is worth considering this region as a profitable investment project, and as an opportunity to realize the dream of a house by the sea.
